Known Issues

DirectX 6.1:

If DirectX 6.1 isn't completely installed on your computer, you will get a
"Could not create DMusic loader" error upon Babyz startup.
To remedy this, simply re-install DirectX 6.1 from the DirectX folder
on the Babyz CD-ROM. To do this:

1) Make sure that your Babyz CD-ROM is loaded into your CD-ROM drive.
If the Babyz CD-ROM autoruns and the installation menu pops up, exit the menu.
2) Double-click the "My Computer" icon on your Windows desktop and find the
drive that contains your Babyz CD-ROM (it will say Babyz).
3) Right-click on the Babyz CD-ROM icon and select "OPEN" --
the Babyz CD-ROM folder should open.
4) Now double-click the DirectX folder and find the file named "Dxsetup.exe."
   Double-click that file to re-install DirectX 6.1.
5) Click the button that says ReInstall DirectX and it will determine whether
you need this latest version DirectX and, if so, install it.
6) Click OKAY and as always, re-start your computer.

Strange Behavior with Toyz and Play Scenes:

If you are experiencing unusual behavior with your Babyz program
(such as disappearing Toyz), you may need to reset the Babyz registry entry.
To do this, simply hold down the Control and Shift keys (CTRL+SHIFT)
and while holding them down, double-click the Babyz desktop shortcut or
Babyz.exe file. Babyz will ask you if you want to reset the registry.
Click Yes and Babyz will load normally and the problems should resolve themselves.
Note that resetting the registry will return all Babyz and Toyz to
their default locations.

Installing ViaVoice over existing versions of Via Voice:

Babyz requires the ViaVoice Family Model to use Voice Recognition.
If you already have ViaVoice installed on your computer and do not re-install
ViaVoice during Babyz installation, voice rec will not work in Babyz.
Simply re-install Babyz and ViaVoice from the Babyz CD-ROM.

Voice Recognition does not work:

If you are having trouble getting Voice Recognition to work on your computer,
please refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Babyz Help File.
